SERU driver behaviour: questions and answers
Based on Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Handbook, version 1.0 (Transport for London, published 30 September 2021) and 3 other sources. Checked .
These questions cover Section 5 of TfL's PHV Driver's Handbook, on how TfL expects you to behave towards passengers and other road users.
Some rules are newer than the 2021 Handbook. TfL now requires signage in PHVs that tells passengers how to complain, and its Driver Policy gives more detail on complaints. Where a question uses a newer rule, the explanation says so.
Every question is written for this site. They are not TfL's own questions, so read the Handbook as well.
