Privacy notice

Last updated 29 October 2026.

You can use every part of taxiknowledgetest.co.uk without an account and without telling us who you are. This notice explains the little data that is used, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Who is responsible

The data controller is the operator of taxiknowledgetest.co.uk. Contact: contact@taxiknowledgetest.co.uk.

Your answers stay on your device

Practice answers are never sent anywhere. Mock test answers are saved in your browser's local storage so a reload doesn't lose them; clear your browser data to remove them. We can't see them.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Cloudflare acts as our processor and keeps these logs only briefly.

Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages help. It sets cookies and records the pages you view, roughly where you are (town or region, from your IP address, which Google doesn't store), your device and how you arrived. We don't send Google your answers.

If you don't consent, Google Analytics sets no cookies, but the page still sends Google a basic cookieless signal that a page was viewed, which Google uses to model overall visitor numbers. Our lawful basis is your consent for cookies and our legitimate interest for the cookieless signal. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Advertising

The site doesn't currently show adverts. If we add them, we'll ask for your consent and update this notice.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and delete them within 12 months unless the conversation is ongoing. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.

Transfers outside the UK

Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States. They do so under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Because we don't know who our visitors are, we usually hold nothing we can link to you.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
