Bristol Offices, flats and outside Bristol: questions and answers
Based on OpenStreetMap (Nominatim search) (OpenStreetMap contributors, live map data) and 2 other sources. Checked .
Bristol's hackney carriage knowledge test has three sections that the private hire test does not: offices, flats, and places outside Bristol. The Council's example questions show the style: which road an office block is on, which area a block of flats is in, and which main road a place outside the city is on.
The Council does not publish a list of the buildings or places it uses. We chose well-known office blocks, council tower blocks and nearby towns and villages, and checked every answer on OpenStreetMap. These are our own practice questions, not the Council's. Buildings are renamed and change use, so check a current map too.
If you are applying for a private hire licence, you do not need this topic. Practise clubs, pubs, hotels and places instead.

Are these the offices and flats in the real test?
We do not know. The Council does not publish its list. Use these to practise, then learn the main office blocks, tower blocks and nearby towns from a current map.
Does the private hire test have these sections?
No. The Council's test page lists offices and flats, and places outside Bristol, as sections of the hackney carriage test only.
