The real Section 1 is 25 questions in 30 minutes: using the A-Z (pass mark 4), locations (pass mark 8) and byelaws (pass mark 8). Section 3 is safeguarding: 10 questions in 20 minutes, pass mark 8. This mock leaves out the A-Z map-reading part, which needs a printed A-Z, and the hackney carriage routes section. The Council does not say how many questions are in each part of Section 1, so we use 10 per section and ask for 8 correct in each, as in the safeguarding section. Our locations questions are places passengers often ask for, not the Council's list.
