Bradford licensing compliance: questions and answers

Based on Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licence Standards and Procedures, Vehicle Licence Conditions (Conditions Book) (City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, published June 2015) and 2 other sources. Checked .

Licensing Compliance is one of the modules in Bradford's online Driver Modular Training. Bradford does not publish the module or its questions, so this page tests you on the rules the module is about: Bradford's licence conditions and its hackney carriage byelaws.

The questions are based on Bradford Council's Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licence Standards and Procedures booklet (June 2015 edition, with changes up to March 2019), and the agreed changes to conditions since then. Some parts of the booklet were changed in May 2025, for example the private hire windscreen visor and the statutory declaration. Those parts are left out here.

For the national law behind these conditions, also practise the core licensing law topic.
